Marine Grade Aluminum Plate

Marine grade aluminum sheet plate in grades of 5052, 5083, 5086 are widely used in shipbuilding for excellent corrosion resistance performance.

Marine grade aluminum sheet plate in grades of 5052, 5083, 5086 are widely used in shipbuilding for excellent corrosion resistance performance.

Marine grade aluminum plate are widely used in ships and marine facilities, but the most used are: 5052 ship plate, 5454 aluminum plate, 5083 aluminum plate, 5086 aluminum plate, 6061 aluminum plate, 6063 aluminum plate, etc.We can provide 5052, 5754, 5083, 5086, 5454, 5251 and 5A06 aluminum alloy for you.

The 5000 series marine grade aluminum and 6000 series marine grade aluminum produced by BCM have successively passed the certification of China Classification Society (CCS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), American Bureau of Shipping(ABS), Bureau Veritas(BV). It has been tested by the market and has outstanding quality. It is the best choice for aluminum for ships.

5083 Marine Grade Aluminum

5083 aluminum alloy belongs to Al-Mg alloy. The strength and corrosion resistance of 5083 are good, 5083 is more suitable for applications requiring higher strength and corrosion resistance. Such as the ship’s side and bottom shell and keel. The common tempers of marine grade 5083 aluminum alloy are h112, h116 and h321.

5052 Marine Grade Aluminum

As a commonly used marine grade aluminum alloy, 5052 aluminum plate has good resistance to marine atmosphere and salt water corrosion. Its fatigue strength is greater than that of most grades of aluminum alloys. And it has good processing toughness. 5052 aluminum alloy is suitable for complex shapes. But, applications that do not require high strength. Such as ship roof and side panels, chimneys, decks, cable trays, portholes, gangways, etc.

5086 Marine Grade Aluminum

5086 aluminum is frequently found in marine applications, with higher strength capacity than aluminum 5052 or 5083. 5086 has superior corrosion resistance, moderate strength, and good formability. 5086 is non-magnetic, easily weldable and formable. It is typically used in pressure vessels, cryogenics, towers and rigs, oil/gas piping, and armor.

6061 Marine Grade Aluminum

6061 aluminum is an Al-Mg-Si alloy. It can be increased in strength by heat treatment. It has a certain corrosion resistance. But not as good as 5083 aluminum alloy.6061 aluminum alloy has good workability and strength. It is very suitable for making structural parts of ships, stiffeners of hulls and other parts. But it’s not as durable as 5052 aluminum alloy.
